Location

We're situated in the village of South Dell on the Isle of Lewis. Our windows face west, overlooking loch Dhibadail and the vast Atlantic ocean beyond. Make sure to factor in a break from your session around sunset to watch it dip below the sea, setting the vast sky alight in vivid pink and orange. Can you tell we love it here?

How to get here

  • By ferry

    The handiest ferry to get is the Ullapool - Stornoway crossing, which takes 2hrs 40mins. Check timetables here: summer | winter

    Bear in mind that summer sailings are often fully booked with vehicles weeks in advance, so bear this in mind when planning your trip.

  • By bus

    I know, you can't cross the sea in a bus, but for those travelling without a vehicle, there are well-connected bus services to the Ullapol ferry terminal from all over Scotland.

    Citylink run services to Ullapool that line up with the ferry departures. Book tickets here. Once again, during the summer these often end up fully booked two weeks in advance so plan ahead.

  • By plane

    Loganair fly to Stornoway frequently from Glasgow, Inverness and Edinburgh, with many other UK cities offering connecting flights too. Flight times are usually under 1hr. Check flight availability on Loganair's website.
